In some of our previous blogs (available in our website: página web), we have already informed about Abrasion’s issue: we have described the procedure for determining the Abrasion resistance as well as the results obtained under conditions of the standard UNE EN ISO 10545-6:1998 Norm:

TEIDE REFRACTORY SOLUTIONS, S.L. has the goal of having the capacity of improving day by day the results of Abrasion testing in comparison to first positioned world competitors.

As stated in the above graph.there is a correlation between the test results obtained with the used standards procedures and equipment, which are similar mainly due to use corundum as an abrasive medium.

The standard ASTM C 704/C 740 AM-09e1 Norm, is more agressive and obtains higher mass loses as results in general; the standard UNE EN ISO 10545-6:1998 Norm is more sensitive and better to be taken into consideration in research studies.
